Challenge: To create excitement and sales of the new GBI Revolution
machine tool.
Pure Idea: Excitement.
After analyzing several successful promotions within the machine tool industry, our Pure Idea was an exclusive, invitation-only open house for the worldwide unveiling of the Revolution machine tool. To create excitement, Accelerator developed personal invitations and a series of communications sent out to members of the press, and the top 50 machine tool distributors across the world. The event, held at the company’s showroom, featured live demonstrations, video presentations, signs, banners, catering, and more. Invitees were courted with golf outings, steak dinners, and plenty of entertainment.
results: seven distributor commitments to sell 10 machines per year, and floor orders for six new Revolution machines
